Have you heard of the book Danny the Dragon Meets Jimmy? It’s a nominee for Best Children’s Picture Book and soon to be released as a DVD including sign language interpretation for the deaf. Jason Grilli, Pitcher for The Colorado Rockies and his wife Danielle will be making a special appearance to greet guests prior to Saturday’s game at The Mount Vernon Country Club on May 30, 2009 for “The Signs Of Summer” Community Benefit. OPIE GONE BAD will be providing the afternoon entertainment. Jefferson County Sheriff and the Lakewood Police Crime Lab will be on hand to remind everyone of Summer Safety. The Lakewood Police Crime Lab will offer complimentary DNA sample collections for the children & CSI activities. Mount Vernon Country Club & Jason Grilli have teamed up to host the benefit and help The Rocky Mountain Deaf School in their efforts to build a permanent school in the Denver Metro area.
