The draft is lacking in integrating 21st century skills. To me, it looks like someone just copied and pasted the previous skills underneath a heading of 21st century skills. Our students need to learn how to build a website, blog, twitter, e-mail, verify websites, use a GPS as well as organize the information to produce a product and work with others in person, on the phone, and using other technologies. Votes on possible amendments and ratification are scheduled to be made at the next monthly State Board meeting (Dec 9-10).
